/filament /are up first   playing a half hour set of
    ** sinewave improv
                   and it never gets as loud as expecte.d.
it's fine on the ears...   ¥      .           ¥
     in fact it is so quiet many fall asleep.
         __                  the hall has a strange acoustic...
       ¥      i can hear sachiko push the buttons on her
 sample-less sampler.        ¥
   the audio is .so thin, almost transparent except
  as one moves their head the whole piece shifts.

 (  otomo
 plays a ¥record player with a piece of metal   soldered
onto the
    cartridge the metal sitting on the plate of the
      turntable, adding a simple richness to sachiko''s test tone.

sachiko   gives an interesting reason for not
               fillin¥g her machine with samples...
    she likes  to listen to  >>  her music and
the extreme nature of
  >>  ground zero .etc.  had become too much .     ¥ ..
     in a way this is more listenable

          ...the sounds are subtile  yet fill
 the space with  very simple but perplexing    tones.

        as for evan parker...he was amazing..
