       unwanted vinyl albums in the oven for 5 minutes and
      ||               shaping them   into   your very own fancy lamp shades.

.nothing seems to work for long
   .    here the lights are surely ready to (re)melt the shades...
 it seemed like such  a great idea..         .            such a great item for any home
      .             .
              <<   two other lamps     are without lights or even light fittings,
   instead they talk to each other...tittering quietly in the corner...       one doesn't want
     to get too close to these works in case of electrocution   >> vicky as electrician   <<

    >>     an old record  player blares     ..   out  badly recorded opera of
 some sort ??        but the connection between
  the record and the audio is distinctly

out of line     <<

             these works sit   in the not so clean     cube of the gallery
like they have always been there
                (busted but not discarded, dusty, (almost)out of order)          <<
   or maybe they were simply    left behind by the last tenants.

      >>   by         now many are aware of scott's   audio  project...
 his         work has appeared in a number of situations
                          (radio, performance, installation)    ...
      and  while they   are  all   based on very       similar   sources
       this audio    have the propensity to   renew  the engagement  of  the
listener    -+   drawing out    new sounds from his recordings of fans.

    the installation is made up of     8 black   coffin size boxes
        lying on the groun  d ,      4 of which have fans sitting up on them.
each box is its own channel                  <<
    ++       shifting the audio around the loop of speakers.

    the darkened room filled with    drone of           wind...
        through which plays the voices of the happily drinking
     crowd and the odd car crash outside.
                 >>       the ear is able to listen to the loop many    many times.
          new sounds     constantly  heard  in the  bass heavy drone
              and pitch shifted      highs.                 +
